Model T History

The MarQueen’s connection to the Lake Union exists, thanks to the Ford Assembly Plant's revolutionary invention in the 1920s. The Ford Assembly Plant on the banks of Lake Union produced the Ford Model T, the most influential car of the 20th century which provided the middle class with an affordable way to travel. Henry Ford’s students were revered in town due to their important work at the automobile assembly line and were put up in luxurious rooms at what is now the MarQueen Hotel!
